Samuel L Williamson  - Founder & Executive Producer

Sam Williamson is an executive producer, director, and founder of MollyLlama Studios. He’s built a successful career in both commercial real estate and entertainment, but it wasn’t until the passing of his mother, Sarah Lee Williamson, that he began a deeper inner journey—asking what truly matters, and what he was meant to create. That shift led him to a profound realization: the world he came from wasn’t a detour—it was the foundation.

The years spent structuring deals, leading teams, and navigating high-stakes projects proved invaluable when launching MollyLlama Studios in 2021. Because what Sam brought with him wasn’t just vision—it was execution.

He executive produced Deadland, which premiered at SXSW ‘23 and now streaming on Amazon Prime. He holds exclusive rights with Jayson Woodward to produce Borderline, a dramatic feature film based on Jayson’s memoir of the same title. He also created and is producing Tequila Mule, a Texas-shot action-comedy feature film written and directed by Aaron Priest, now in pre-production and filming July 1, 2025.

Sam is also developing and directing The Back-Back Story, a biographical docuseries celebrating influential but under-recognized voices in film and television. The pilot episode, centered on Sam’s close friend who launched his acting career, casting Sam in in his first supporting role on TV, Legendary TV/Film director Michael Preece (Dallas, Walker, Texas Ranger), was filmed shortly before Michael’s passing in early 2025 and now serves as the teaser for the series.

He’s also executive producing The Fix in partnership with David Clifton. Created by Clifton and written by David Elliot (Four Brothers), the series is based on the true story of a covert Nixon-era alliance between the White House, the Mafia, and Wall Street that gave rise to sports gambling—and shaped the future of technology, finance, and American politics.

Sam is a Dallas native. Aside from a brief stretch in Los Angeles, represented by William Morris, he’s lived and worked in Texas his entire life. His belief is clear: if you understand real estate or oil and gas, you can understand film. The timing couldn’t be better—Hollywood is changing, Texas is rising, and there’s a hunger on both sides of the lens to make something real.
